Some Dish Network channels and packages are sold a la carte. There is a $5.00 per month Access Fee charged to customers if they do not also have a basic programming package. However, we recommend that a customer order the package that includes the channel instead of buying the channel a la carte. This is a better value for you the customer. At times, Dish Network initially offer services a la carte, but then put those channels into packages. Customers are allowed to continue to receive these on an a la carte basis for an extended period of time, unless they disconnect. Customers who had not already subscribed to the service prior to the change would then need to subscribe the packagae.
